Pheromone smugglers gave him  clothing, housing and hard physical work. In the camp of the smugglers  he saw a stolen drum kit, and for the first time he felt an unconscious  connection to his past - due to the drums. The man without memory took  the drum sticks and began to play, like he never had done something else  in his life. Trancelike he played nine days and nights without a break,  virtuosic and with an intensity never heard before. At the tenth day he  suddenly stopped. The absolute silence after the last beat was perfect.  No one of the many witnesses of the "Warehouse Wonder" (they came  from all over the continent) was as keen as to breathe after this final beat. It  took several minutes until the silence turned into enthusiastic applause. This extraordinary  happening and the force of his playing gave him a name: HAMMER.   Amongst the audience where Walt and Mizzes, spellbound and fascinated they followed  Hammer's drumming over several days. The question to the succession of Forcaro, the  deceased drummer of the band, was answered during the Warehouse Wonder - one for all  times. Hammer not only completed the band (later on well known as Noggfish),  the skills of the mysterious drummer brought the project to a new level.   No one, not even Hammer himself knows about the dark secrets of his past.  Nobody knows why his metabolism neither needs food nor sleep, and why  his genetics are not similar to any other form of life in this galaxy. Scientists  in the service of Garg violently took Hammers life as a very successful  musician and therefore gave him vast torture due to genetic tests. The  experiments failed, Hammer survived and was able to escape manipulated  and badly injured. Deep in his memory the monster of recall is having a  restless sleep. Drumming is the only bridge to his true self, only the beat  brings back fragments of previous emotions and memories. When the beat  stops, love ends for Hammer, that's why he spends most of the time playing,  especially at night, when other biologic units sleep ...
