Coming from different worlds and races, three utterly different life forms got together on planet Hip E to launch a band that was  about to change the galactic music business forever. Singer/songwriter/guitarist Walt, being the trio's only native Hip E  inhabitant, just had returned from a disastrous and exhausting musical experience on the system's main planet N Gol. Bass  player/songwriter Mizzez, former princess of Kor, was hiding in the decaying cities of Hip E to escape from her home world's  deadly agents. Keyboard player Swiv was stranded in this outer part of the galaxy after being banned from planet Svarovsk  due to his ongoing moral failures.  United by music and the vital necessity to find a way out of the declining planet's dystopian mess, the three very different  musicians started to intensely write songs and lyrics. Very soon, the still nameless group had enough material to play a few  gigs for the infamous smugglers of Hip E. It helped that ingenious scientist, N Erd, was part of the project right from the very  beginning. Being Walt's best friend, N Erd provided the musicians with his incredible gadgets, enabling the band to enhance  both sound and performance dramatically. Bored by the drum-bot they were using for their first shows, they hired drummer  Forcaro, who had just returned from N Gol. Unexpectedly, both the collaboration and Forcaro's life were terminated by an  overdose of Hip E's popular, but very dangerous pheromone drug.  Simultaneously, a weird and nameless amnesic warehouse worker grabbed a pair of drumsticks for the first time in his life and  started to play. Without stopping, he played the drums for nine days and nine nights with incredible virtuosity and power. Many  people, including Walt and Mizzez, came running to see what is now known as the "Warehouse Wonder". The witnesses of the  Warehouse Wonder collectively named the anonymous drummer "Hammer", inspired by his trance-like and energetic playing.  Hammer, of course, became Forcaros’ successor, the mysterious drummer not only completed the band but took the project to  the next level.  Acknowledging a creature that was ensuring the planet's economic survival, the band chose the name "Noggfish". The very  rare "Noggfish" species delivers a highly effective pheromone which, extracted and exported by the smugglers, was the only  available resource of Hip E at the time. Distributing the popular but extremely dangerous pheromone of the creepy water  breather was illegal, so choosing Noggfish as a name was also a way to demonstrate the band's absolute will to stay  independent from the corrupt system of N Gol.  Noggfish managed to grow a solid fan base on Hip E by establishing an unique musical style and a lot of underpaid gigs in  lousy clubs. Consisting mainly of smuggler's kids, the followers of the band were fascinated by the band's mix of fresh  songwriting, awesome performance and very innovative stage technology.  Meanwhile, astrophysics genius "N Erd" achieved a major scientific breakthrough by completing the first working  prototype of the "Roomstretch". Based on his groundbreaking mathematical formula, the Roomstretch device  manipulates the time-space continuum in such a way that any space (or physical room) can be expanded to any  desired size. N Erd traded the first Roomstretch device for an old and partially damaged spaceship. N Erd  managed to fix the old carrier, and of course pimped "SHYPP" with a few revolutionary extras.  With the SHYPP airworthy, the band was able to leave Hip E and perform for the neighboring planets, but being  equipped with sub-light engines only, the flight time was ridiculously long. Nevertheless, the band visited three N  Gol system planets during two exhausting years of touring, enlarged their fan base and even made a little money  to get by on. N Erd was traveling with the band, continuously working on his formula and trying to get the  Roomstretch production ready. He finally succeeded and licensed the device (for peaceful use only) to the  Association of Peaceful Planets, which made him a lot of money. Based on the concept of the Roomstretch, he  then developed his ultimate masterpiece of astrophysical engineering, the "AB-Drive". Used as highly effective  engine, the AB-drive enables the traveler to reach every desired point in space in literally no time, with very little energy  consumption. Knowing that the AB-drive would be immensely dangerous if misused, N Erd decided never to license the  revolutionary device, that's why only one working copy of the engine exists.  Noggfish was now able to travel to every planet in the galaxy, but the band's attempts at performing for previously unknown  races ended up in a big fiasco almost every time. All foreign species were generally very interested in the alien band, but  extreme differences in culture and biology made it impossible for the musicians to succeed. To address this problem, Mizzez  and N Erd developed the UUMTS (Ultimate Universal Music Translation System), a system that automatically adjusts and  translates musical output to the listening habits for any race in the galaxy in real time. The UUMTS worked, Noggfish went  through the roof. Excellent music, made available for all species, combined with unlimited range resulted in the band's ongoing  legendary success story. Today, the members of Noggfish are more than pan-galactic rockstars. They are messengers and mediators between different  races, idols and symbol for the renewal of the suffering galaxy. N Erd's Roomstretch device revolutionized interplanetary  trading and kept the systems from being exploited by galactic speculators. On every planet he visited, N Erd is storing as well  as providing enormous amounts of scientific data and for the first time in history, the entire knowledge of the galaxy can be  accessed free of charge by everyone.  But not everybody in the galaxy is happy about the free distribution of knowledge. The popular band is defeating the sinister  plans of those who made a fortune on the needs of the galactic population and merciless agents of all forces are trying to steal  N Erd's scientific achievements by any and all means. GARG, the dark dealer of knowledge who had been pulling the strings  of the galaxy for eons, quickly realized that free access to an interstellar database meant the end of his vast empire. GARG  became a powerful and ruthless opponent of Noggfish and the destruction of the band still is his primary goal.....
